THE WOMEN OF THE ATLANTIC COAST AND EMIGRATION.

MNÁ AN ATLANTAIGH AGUS AN IMIRCE.

   An occasion to honour the women of the Atlantic coasts and recognize their emigrant experiences.
October 5th, 6th and 7th 2018. 

Friday October 5th

  • 6:30pm - Official opening of the Conference and an Art Exhibition by women from the Cill Chiaráin and Carna area.- Micheál Ó hÉanaigh. C.E.O. Údarás na Gaeltachta (The Gaeltacht regions Authority). The Mayor Walsh Hall.

Saturday October 6th

  • 09:00am - 10:00am  - Registration
  • 10:00am - 4:30pm – Talks and Discussions
  • 1:00pm - 2:00pm - Lunch
  • 8:00pm - Concert. The Ballads of Emigration . Irish and English Language Songs Relating to Emigration.  

Sunday October 7th

  • 12:15pm - Tea and Coffee/Refreshments and Music

CARNA BAY HOTEL.
The Carna Bay Hotel, which is a 5 minute walk from the Emigrants Commemorative Centre is offering a special rate for the Conference weekend. The rate is: €99 for 2 nights bed and breakfast and one dinner.
